PixiShot offers a good solution to conventional means of organizing digital photos. Its tools allow you to sort them in a more efficient manner, edit their EXIF information and more. The software can spare you from searching in thick layers of folders for your pictures. Any images can be found at a moment's notice, which is particularly advantageous for professional or amateur photographers.

The software is free to try for a limited period of time, without any significant functionality restrictions. It comes in a small package and it can be installed quickly. The hardware requirements are modest and there is no need to install any prerequisite tools.

PixiShot's user interface resembles a standard Explorer window, but with some additions. The navigation pane on the left side of the window is where you can find your imported photo folders. Their contents appear as large thumbnails, in the larger area on the right. Additionally, you can view and edit the EXIF information, for selected images, on the right side of the window.

A series of options can be found on a toolbar, which allow you to perform various actions. Changing the size of the thumbnails, sorting contents by name, date, used camera and other criteria, filtering them or playing them in a slideshow are just a few examples. Furthermore, the software comes with a side-by-side picture comparison feature, to help you spot subtle differences between images.

Besides the standard manager view mode, the software comes with two other interface view modes. In viewer mode, pictures are displayed in their full size and you can switch between them with the aid of a conveyor belt, in the lower region of the interface. You can also switch to a map view mode, in which you can geo-tag your images, by simply clicking a location on a map, while a picture is selected.

Any disorganized heap of pictures can be turned into a well managed library on the fly, thanks to PixiShot's efficient functionality.

Pros

The software comes with many useful sorting features. It gives you the possibility of geo-tagging your images on the fly. Its user interface has a familiar design and easy to understand controls.

Cons

There are no obvious issues to mention.
